Minneapolis Farmers Market Guide - 2018

The first day of spring may occur at the end of March, but the official kick off in our beautiful city is the opening of the farmers markets.  There are few things that rival a Saturday morning bike ride to the market.  The aroma of feverish cooking in the air, the buckets of freshly cut flowers, the smiles exchanged amongst familiar faces of neighbors, classmates and friends.  It's a gathering of our community by our community - local vendors, farmers and artisans who put in the tireless hours to bring us their crafts with care.  If you listen closely, the heartbeat of our city can be heard. Today I'm sharing a printable guide to the South Minneapolis and Edina farmers markets.  The Minneapolis Farmers Market opened this past Saturday with more following suit yet this week.  The first day of the Nicollet Mall market is this Thursday and both Midtown and Mill City will host their opening markets this Saturday.  Right click on the guide below to download a printable copy!  They are grouped according to the day of the week they gather for easy reference.

My personal favorite to visit is the Linden Hills Market, which has partnered with the Minneapolis Craft Market to bring local artisans to the lineup each weekend.  The vendors change from week to week, making for fresh pickings each weekend.  You can read more about which makers will be on the agenda by visiting the Minneapolis Craft Market website or by checking out the Linden Hills Farmers Market Facebook page.

I'd love to hear about the markets you frequent each Spring!  Any outside our community that are worth taking a drive for?  Which do you make a point of visiting - share in the comments below and we'll see you at the market!
