Sarah Schaffer - Realtor + Fox Homes!

9 years ago I placed a random phone call to the drummer of a local band.  My husband and I were hosting a backyard fundraiser for our dear friends who were nurturing a call to adopt.  I would go on to solicit the drummer to pack up his band and come play a show in our Southwest Minneapolis backyard to entice friends, family and strangers to donate to a cause near and dear to our hearts.  Without hesitation, Brad Fox and his band Farewell Milwaukee would agree to a show in our backyard to the benefit of our friends and their growing family. Aside from being a drummer, Brad and his wife Heather have both worked in real estate for more than a dozen years.  They've tenured in new construction sales with national builders, worked for large brokerages and eventually would go on to start their own real estate brokerage, Minnetonka based Fox Homes.  Fox Homes would prove to be a different kind of real estate brokerage - one that services the whole house - from buying and selling to design and construction, a truly full-service client experience.  The same generosity Brad showed in that initial interaction is evident in their business today.  'Work hard & be nice to people' - a mantra they live and work by.

I am thrilled to share today that I have joined the team of Realtors at Fox Homes.  When I first launched this blog in 2016, I did so with the platform that before a house ever became a home, it was a feeling - "it just felt like home."  I am of the firm belief that you can make just about anything into a home if it feels like it's where you are supposed to be.  Fox Homes' vision and comprehensive services are very much aligned with this core belief and were an integral piece in my decision to join their growing company.

When it came time to choosing a brokerage to partner with, it was critical to me that the brokerage be small and local.  Because of the breadth of services Fox Homes offers - everything from buying and selling to paint and finish consultations, second story additions and beyond - the relationship with our real estate clients can last far beyond the closing table.  It's my hope that the evolving needs of your family will allow me to act as a resource for you and yours for many years to come.

I am looking forward to continuing to work with clients looking to buy or sell a home, with the addition of providing resources to help transform it into your dream home.  Since beginning on the Harriet Avenue project, I've had lots of inquiries from clients looking to do similar projects here in Southwest Minneapolis and Edina.  I would love to coach you through the process from seeking out properties that fit the bill to honing in on the right plan for the neighborhood to maximize your investment.  It's a process I'm passionate about and have the experience to navigate with confidence.

If all of this wasn't exciting enough, then tune in TONIGHT, Monday, July 9th at 10pm CST as Brad & Heather Fox debut their HGTV Pilot episode of "Stay or Sell."  The show follows local couple Brad & Liza Hill as they decide whether to stay in or sell their longtime St. Louis Park home.  With enough viewership, the Foxes have signed on for 8 to 12 more episodes - all local clients, contractors and artisans - all right here in our own Twin Cities.  You can check out their Star Tribune feature here or get a behind the scenes glimpse here.

If you are looking to start down the path of finding your own fixer upper or are ready to capitalize on the last of the summer market, whatever your real estate needs I'd love to hear from you!  Contact me by phone at (612) 723-7636 or by email at sarah@foxhomes.com.
